Assignment   

Dear Students,   

As we all know that Gestalt laws are ways are well devised ways in which we tend to observe the world around us. They help us in understanding human perception in particular. They make us aware how complex human perception can be. Your task is to read out the given scenarios and identify which Gestalt law is being implemented here and then provide an explanation of that law.

1.	Ahmed thought that people who were talking to each other at the festival were groups of people.	Proximity	Simple shapes arranged together can create a more complex image
2.	The wildlife photographer saw blue birds with sharp feathers and black birds with furry appearance. He labelled them as two separate groups of birds.	Similarly	The human eye tends to build a relationship between similar elements within a design. Similarity can be achieved using basic elements such as shapes, colours, and size.
3.	Sana saw some birds flying in a particular direction and she thought that they are a group and all going to their home nest together.	Continuation	The human eye follows the paths, lines, and curves of a design, and prefers to see a continuous flow of visual elements rather than separated objects.
4.	Amna was solving her geometry paper. She saw some lines that      were disconnected. She was surprised to see that when she connected those lines, a circle or triangle would be formed.	Closure	The human eye prefers to see complete shapes. If the visual elements are not complete, the user can perceive a complete shape by filling in missing visual information.
5.	Salman viewed the clouds and main figures as he observed them along with the sky.	Figure/Ground	The human eye isolates shapes from backgrounds.
