ASSIGNMENT QUESTION: 

Sincerity is the spirit of worship and actions. Allah Almighty accepts only those actions that are based on sincerity. One of the most important characteristics of the believers described by Allah Almighty in the Holy Qur'an is that their acts of worship and deeds are only for the pleasure of Allah Almighty. The Holy Quran States: 

وَ مَاۤ امُِرُوْۤا اِ الَّ لِیَعْبدُُوا هاللَّٰ مُخْلِصِیْنَ لَهُ ال دِیْنَ     )البینۃ5: 98)

Translation: And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion.

In view of the above-mentioned statement, you have to describe five ways/sources by which we can develop sincerity in our worships and actions.

اخلاص کو عبادات ا ور اعمال میں روح کا درجہ حاصل ہے۔ انسان کے اخلاص پر مبنی اعمال ہی روزِ قیامت مقبول ہوں گے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے مو منین کی جو صفا ت بیان کیں ہیں ا ن میں ایک اہم صفت یہ بھی ذکر کی ہے کہ ا ن کی عبادات ا ور اعمال صرف ا للہ تعالیٰ کی رضا کے لیے ہوتے ہیں۔ ا رشاد ربانی ہے:

وَ مَاۤ امُِرُوْۤا اِ الَّ لِیَعْبدُُوا هاللَّٰ مُخْلِصِیْنَ لَهُ ال دِیْنَ     )البینۃ5: 98) ترجمہ:’’ ا ن کو اس کے سوا کوئی حکم نہیں دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ ایک اللہ کی عبادت کریں خالص اسی کی اطاعت کرتے ہوئے۔‘‘ مذکورہ بالا بیان کے پیش نظر، آپ کو پانچ ایسے طر یقے/ذرائع بیان کرنے ہیں  جن سے ہم اپنی عبادات ا ور اعمال میں اخلاص پیدا کر سکتے ہیں۔

Answer:

1.      Fear of Allah

Fear of Allah is the most important means that enables man to increase his sincerity. A person who realizes the greatness of Allah, that there is no power except Him and that the one that created the universe out of nothing, that takes care of all living beings and shows mercy to them is Allah is affiliated to Allah with deep love. He understands that his real friend in the world and the hereafter is only Allah and hence the one whose consent is necessary to seek is only Him. Along with this strong love, he fears Allah. 

Fearing takes place when a person avoids the attitudes that Allah rendered haram and is not pleased with and when he fulfills His orders without any laziness. A sincere person who fears Allah knows what attitudes He will not be pleased with and steps into action to correct them. For instance, if his soul has a tendency and weakness toward worldly possessions, he notices it. In that case, he uses his wealth in the way of Allah in order to overcome that weakness. 

2.      A level of belief that can appreciate Allah

One of the responsibilities of a believer is to attain a level of belief that can appreciate Allah as it is necessary by being aware of the fact.

To be able to appreciate Allah can be attained by knowing Him with all of His names and seeing and realizing the manifestations of those names in his life all the time. For, man can fear Allah and attain a sincere belief only if he can realize Allah’s greatness.

A person who can appreciate Allah as it is necessary knows that there cannot be any power except Allah and does not fear anyone except Him. He knows that nothing will happen unless Allah wishes, which enables him to worship by turning to Allah only. When he wants to do a good deed, he does it not because of fearing the reactions of people but because he does not want to act contrary to Allah's order. Similarly, when he decides to give up doing something, he does not give it up thinking that people will get angry with him but in order to attain Allah’s mercy and avoid His wrath.

3.      Allah's consent as much as possible

A person who wants to show the sincerest attitude in everything he faces needs to seek "Allah's consent as much as possible". This order of Allah is reminded through the following verse with the phrase "strive as in a race in all virtues":

"… so, strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah..." (al-Maida, 5/48)

4.      Man should expect the rewards for what he does in the world only from Allah

A person who wants to gain sincerity needs to be aware of this fact: the man should expect the rewards for what he does in the world only from Allah. If a person does something for anything except Allah's consent, mercy and Paradise, his sincerity is broken and he is led to insincerity. If a person serves in the way of Allah for years with this thought, he will not have gained sincerity in its real sense unless he does them for Allah’s sake only. Only the deeds of worship that he does without adding anything except Allah's consent can gain him great rewards and thawabs.

5.      It is necessary to base everything directly on Allah’s consent.

Even if everybody is against a person and nobody is pleased with him, it is of no significance if Allah is pleased with him. For, the hearts of all of those people are under the control of Allah. If Allah wishes, He will make them pleased with that person.

On the other hand, if Allah is not pleased with a person due to his attitude, it is of no significance if everybody is pleased with him and is grateful to him. A believer knows that it is of no significance in the eye of Allah and that people’s being pleased with him will gain him nothing in the hereafter unless Allah is pleased with him. The group that will be pleased with him may consist of financially or politically powerful people. However, they are all weak beings that were created by Allah and that will decay in the grave one day, losing all of their power. Therefore, their number, support, and appreciation will be of no use in the hereafter. The one who is eternal and whose consent needs to be attained is only Allah. What will make man gain a permanent understanding of sincerity is ‘to ignore the consent of people and to aim to attain Allah’s consent’ by realizing this fact. 

 

بالا بیان کے پیش نظر، آپ کو پانچ ایسے طر یقے/ذرائع بیان کرنے ہیں  جن سے ہم اپنی عبادات ا ور اعمال میں اخلاص

پیدا کر سکتے ہیں۔

 

1.      اللہ کا خوف

 

اللہ کا خوف وہ سب سے اہم ذریعہ ہے جو انسان کو اپنے اخلاص کو بڑھانے کے قابل بناتا ہے۔ جس شخص کو اللہ کی       عظمت کا احساس ہو کہ اس کے سوا کوئی طاقت نہیں اور جس نے کائنات کو کسی چیز سے پیدا نہیں کیا، جو تمام جانداروں کا خیال رکھتا ہے اور ان پر رحم کرتا ہے، وہ اللہ سے گہری محبت رکھتا ہے۔ . وہ سمجھتا ہے کہ دنیا اور آخرت میں اس کا حقیقی دوست صرف اللہ ہے اور اس لیے جس کی رضامندی حاصل کرنا ضروری ہے وہ صرف وہی ہے۔ اس مضبوط محبت کے ساتھ وہ اللہ سے ڈرتا ہے۔

 

خوف اس وقت ہوتا ہے جب انسان ان رویوں سے بچتا ہے جن کو اللہ نے حرام قرار دیا ہے اور اس سے راضی نہیں ہوتا ہے اور جب وہ بغیر کسی سستی کے اس کے احکامات کو پورا کرتا ہے۔ اللہ سے ڈرنے والا مخلص شخص جانتا ہے کہ وہ کن رویوں سے راضی نہیں ہوگا اور ان کی اصلاح کے لیے قدم اٹھاتا ہے۔ مثال کے طور پر، اگر اس کی روح میں دنیاوی مال کی طرف رجحان اور کمزوری ہے، تو وہ اسے محسوس کرتا ہے۔ اس صورت میں وہ اس کمزوری کو دور کرنے کے لیے اپنا مال اللہ کی راہ میں استعمال کرتا ہے۔

 

 

2.      یقین کی ایک سطح جو اللہ کی تعریف کر سکتی ہے۔

 

 

مومن کی ذمہ داریوں میں سے ایک یہ ہے کہ وہ یقین کے اس درجے کو حاصل کرے جو اللہ کی قدر کر سکے جیسا کہ حقیقت سے آگاہ ہونے سے ضروری ہے۔

 

اللہ کی قدر کرنے کے لیے اسے اس کے تمام ناموں کے ساتھ جاننے اور ان ناموں کے ظاہر کو اپنی زندگی میں ہر وقت دیکھنے اور محسوس کرنے سے حاصل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ کیونکہ انسان اللہ سے ڈرتا ہے اور سچا یقین صرف اسی صورت میں حاصل کر سکتا ہے جب وہ اللہ کی عظمت کا ادراک کر سکے۔

 

جو شخص اللہ کی قدر کر سکتا ہے جیسا کہ ضروری ہے وہ جانتا ہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی طاقت نہیں ہے اور اس کے سوا کسی سے نہیں ڈرتا۔ وہ جانتا ہے کہ جب تک اللہ نہ چاہے کچھ نہیں ہوگا، جو اسے صرف اللہ کی طرف رجوع کرکے عبادت کرنے کے قابل بناتا ہے۔ جب وہ کوئی نیک کام کرنا چاہتا ہے تو لوگوں کے ردعمل سے ڈر کر نہیں کرتا بلکہ اس لیے کرتا ہے کہ اللہ کے حکم کے خلاف کام نہیں کرنا چاہتا۔ اسی طرح جب وہ کسی کام کو ترک کرنے کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو یہ سوچ کر نہیں چھوڑتا کہ لوگ اس سے ناراض ہوں گے بلکہ اللہ کی رحمت حاصل کرنے اور اس کے غضب سے بچنے کے لیے۔

 

3.      جتنا ممکن ہو اللہ کی رضامندی۔

 

جو شخص ہر چیز میں مخلصانہ رویہ دکھانا چاہتا ہے اسے چاہیے کہ وہ "جتنا ممکن ہو اللہ کی رضامندی" حاصل کرے۔ اللہ کا یہ حکم درج ذیل آیت کے ذریعے اس جملے کے ساتھ یاد دلایا گیا ہے کہ "تمام خوبیوں میں دوڑ کی طرح کوشش کرو"۔

"… پس تم تمام نیکیوں میں دوڑ کی طرح جدوجہد کرو، تم سب کا مقصد اللہ کی طرف ہے..." (المائدہ، 5/48)

 

4.      انسان کو چاہیے کہ دنیا میں جو کچھ کرتا ہے اس کے بدلے کی امید صرف اللہ سے ہو۔

 

جو شخص اخلاص حاصل کرنا چاہتا ہے اسے اس حقیقت سے آگاہ ہونا چاہیے: انسان کو چاہیے کہ وہ دنیا میں جو کچھ کرتا ہے اس کے اجر کی امید صرف اللہ سے ہو۔ اگر کوئی شخص اللہ کی رضامندی، رحمت اور جنت کے سوا کسی چیز کے لیے کچھ کرتا ہے تو اس کا اخلاص ٹوٹ جاتا ہے اور وہ کفر کی طرف جاتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی شخص اس سوچ کے ساتھ برسوں اللہ کی راہ میں خدمت کرتا ہے تو اسے حقیقی معنوں میں اخلاص حاصل نہیں ہو سکتا جب تک کہ وہ صرف اللہ کی رضا کے لیے نہ کرے۔ صرف وہ عبادات جو وہ اللہ کی رضا کے سوا کسی چیز کو شامل کیے بغیر کرتا ہے اسے عظیم اجر وثواب حاصل کر سکتا ہے۔

 

5.      ہر چیز کی بنیاد براہ راست اللہ کی رضا پر ہونا ضروری ہے۔

 

خواہ ہر شخص کسی شخص کے خلاف ہو اور کوئی اس سے راضی نہ ہو تب بھی اللہ اس سے راضی ہونے کی کوئی اہمیت نہیں۔ کیونکہ ان تمام لوگوں کے دل اللہ کے قبضے میں ہیں۔ اللہ نے چاہا تو انہیں اس شخص سے راضی کر دے گا۔

 

دوسری طرف اگر اللہ تعالیٰ کسی شخص سے اس کے رویے کی وجہ سے راضی نہیں ہوتا ہے تو اس کی کوئی اہمیت نہیں کہ ہر شخص اس سے راضی ہو اور اس کا شکر ادا کرے۔ مومن جانتا ہے کہ اللہ کے نزدیک اس کی کوئی اہمیت نہیں ہے اور لوگوں کا اس سے راضی ہونا اسے آخرت میں کچھ حاصل نہیں ہوگا جب تک کہ اللہ اس سے راضی نہ ہو۔ جو گروہ اس سے راضی ہو گا وہ مالی یا سیاسی طور پر طاقتور افراد پر مشتمل ہو سکتا ہے۔ تاہم، یہ سب کمزور مخلوق ہیں جو اللہ کی طرف سے بنائے گئے ہیں اور جو ایک دن قبر میں اپنی تمام طاقت کھو دیں گے۔ اس لیے ان کی تعداد، حمایت اور تعریف کا آخرت میں کوئی فائدہ نہیں ہوگا۔ وہ جو ازلی ہے اور جس کی رضامندی حاصل کرنا ضروری ہے وہ صرف اللہ ہے۔ جو چیز انسان کو اخلاص کی مستقل سمجھ حاصل کرے گی وہ یہ ہے کہ اس حقیقت کو سمجھ کر ’’لوگوں کی رضامندی کو نظر انداز کرنا اور اللہ کی رضا حاصل کرنے کا ارادہ کرنا‘‘۔
