The smallest meaningful unit of the Holy Quran is “Verse” which means “Sign”. The Quranic Verses are the signs of Allah’s SWT knowledge and wisdom. According to the number of Verses, the Surahs of the Holy Quran are usually divided into four categories.

In this GDB, you will mention the names of these four categories of the Surahs of the Holy Quran.

Answer:

There are four Categories of Surahs.

1.     Sab’aTuwal:

These are consisting of seven long Surahs. i.e, Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, An-NIsa, Al-Maida, Al-Anaam, Al-Aaraf, Al- Anfal

2.     Al-Maun:

These contain less or more a hundred verses.

3.     Masani:

Surahs whose Verses are less than one hundred.

4.     Al-Mufassal:

They contain the boundary between two Surahs.
